Privacy notice for the kids programs

This notice explains what happens to the information a parent or guardian gives us on kids.wecreatetalents.ca. The site is run by We Create Talents, a business based in Ontario, Canada. Dhanish Rajendran, Founder and Operations Lead, is responsible for privacy. Questions go to hello@wecreatetalents.ca.
What we collect
Only what a parent or guardian types into the interest list form:
- your name, email address and, if you choose, your phone number
- your child’s first name and age range (not their full name, birthday or school)
- which programs you are interested in, if you tick any
- that you agreed to be contacted, and when
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. To stop automated spam, your browser solves a small puzzle when you send the form, and your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated attempts. It is not kept with your details.
Children
The form is for parents and guardians only. Children should not fill it in, and we do not collect information directly from children through this site. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Why we use it
- to email you when the program details are ready and when registration opens
- to answer your questions about the programs
- to plan the programs, for example how many children are interested in each age range
We will not use it for anything else, and we do not sell it.
Who handles it
Your details go to the same secure systems We Create Talents uses for its main website, kept separate and labelled as kids program interest. The service providers involved are our website host, our database provider, our customer records system (Zoho CRM) and our email provider. Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until the summer 2027 programs are over, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you register your child for a program, we will tell you at that point how registration information is handled.
Unsubscribing and your rights
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in any email, or by writing to hello@wecreatetalents.ca. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can also ask to see the information we hold about you or your child, correct it, or have it deleted. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm who you are first.
If you are not happy with how we handled your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Keeping it safe
The site uses encrypted connections, access to the records is limited to the people who run the programs, and if a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Changes
If we change how we use your information in a way that matters, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
